Sadly we didn't have time to finish the project in time for the Jam, so there are still some placeholder assets. These might be updated, but otherwise please enjoy the core of what is there!

Dine & Dash

Dine & Dash is a short Eat-Em-Up where you jump into the fur of a hungry street cat, itching for a meal. Eat as many plates as you can in the short window before you get caught! This game was a short creation put together by our small team of two: Liyizhang and Moohm, for The Godot Wild Jam #63.

Our goal for this jam was to make something short and fun, without burning ourselves out over the short time frame. 

We hope you enjoy playing our game, and let us know how many plates you were left cleaning up after (or your high-[SCORE] if you want to call it that!).

Controls:

  • Use WASD to move, and either Space or RMB to eat!   
  • Audio controls are in the Settings Menu on the Title Screen.
  • Once you've played a round, you can either [PAYUP] and check out the Main Menu for more secrets, or go for another round and try to beat your highscore!
  • TIP: Different foods are worth different amounts:
    • Tuna Steak - 5
    • Taco - 4
    • Hot Dog - 3
    • Nuggies - 2
    • Nigiri - 1

Godot Wild Jam #63

Dine & Dash is a [QUICK] project made within a week, as a part of the Godot Wild Jam #63. The theme for this project was 'Cats' and we used some of the optional Wild Cards:

To Travel Is To Live: (Not fully implemented)

We didn't quite meet this Wild Card, our hope was to travel the world through the food and restaurants you visited and consumed! With scope overwhelming us though, we resorted to a couple of different foods we thought our character might like.

Like The Old Days: (Partially implemented!!)

Cheat Codes?!! In our days these were secret inputs you had to enter, so in the Main Menu of the game, tucked away in the settings is a secret section where you can enable cheats! 

Three Cheats are avaliable to be added, and we've hidden the 5-digit codes to unlock them throughout this page. See if you can find them!

Arch Nemesis: (Not fully implemented)

Another Wild Card that got away from us with our original intention. Our goal was to have an AI character fighting you for the food, but with the scope being pulled back to balance our brains a little better, our true Arch-Nemesis is the hunger we all feel, and having to decide between Tacos or Sushi for dinner.
