Freelancing
Freelancing is a Narrative Adventure game where you take up the role of a new Squire, aiming for Knighthood!
Dress the Knight in various unique outfits, whilst measuring the impact each item has on your core stats: Magic, Strength, Temperature and Weight. Each quest will have different requirements as prescribed in your briefing, so listen closely and balance your gear accordingly.
On return you'll be rewarded (or scolded) for the Knights level of success, and each successful quest will put you one step closer to paying for Knight School!
Controls:
- Freelancing is fully playable with just your mouse!
- Keys Space and Enter also progress text boxes
Godot Wild Jam #53
Freelancing is a project made in 9 days, as a part of the Godot Wild Jam #53. The theme for this project was 'Assembly Required' and we used the optional Wild Cards of '4 Color Limit' and 'Temperature'.

Having the equipment sorted into categories would be nice. I did get 3-stars first try so I guess I'd make an amazing squire.

Definitely a fun little concept of a game! Very cute dialogue and setting!
I'd say there should be a little more clarity of what you have to do, because I found myself a little confused at the beginning and maybe summarize the dialogue to a list of the most important bits when clicking on "Briefing", but overall it's all something you can figure out with a little paying attention to the details~
The visuals are super pretty and everything is going smoothly, so that's already a very great start for a demo!

One thing I would fix is the music glitching on scene transitions but it's not a major problem

Such a nice little demo! I only wished I could have access to notes about the proper outfit in a better way than clicking through the conversation bunch of times.
